We see the environment as the third teacher and have set up Tiny Explorers to meet the varying developmental levels and learning needs of each child. We believe children learn through play and value our environment as it supports children’s learning. Learning experiences to extend individual children are integrated with in our daily programme. Natural and open-ended resources are available throughout the centre to enable endless opportunities for children’s imaginations to discover and play
 
 

OPPORTUNITY

All children have the opportunity to experience a rich environment that encompasses tactile experiences, literacy and numeracy skills, outdoor play, sand, water, carpentry, block building, family play, puzzles, art and much more.

Learning

Children choose the areas that appeal to them and teachers support these interests and learning through conferencing. These discussions often lead into the recording of learning stories which are kept in individual children's portfolios.

The Management and Staff at Tiny Explorers aim to provide high-quality early childhood care and education for young children and a supportive environment for parents and whãnau. We intend to achieve this by providing superior facilities, quality educational equipment and programmes and well-qualified and caring teaching staff.
